The developers of Fontainebleau Las Vegas have successfully secured a construction loan worth $2.2 billion to finally complete the long-delayed project. The hotel casino, which will soar 67 stories high, is slated to open its doors to the public in late 2023. Fontainebleau Development and Koch Real Estate Investments worked together to arrange the financing for the highly anticipated resort. It will occupy a massive 25-acre lot and boast an impressive 9 million square feet of space. Once complete, the Fontainebleau will offer approximately 3,700 hotel rooms, and 550,000 square feet of convention and meeting space. Along with a wide range of amenities including gaming facilities, dining options, retail spaces, and health and wellness facilities. Bullet Train from LV to CA
Rail unions make a deal! This high-speed train could take you from Las Vegas to Southern California in just 2 hours! Brightline West, plans to connect Las Vegas and Los Angelos with a bullet train service made progress to turn the project into reality! As of recent, they signed a labor agreement with a railroad construction union and will receive government support for federal funding. The service will begin in San Bernardino, California, make a stop in Victor Valley before reaching its’ final destination near the Las Vegas Strip. the train would operate at 186 mph over a 260-mile track. Film Studio Development in LV
A union representing construction workers has tentative agreements with the developers of planned production studios meant to lure film and television filming to Sin City. These agreements demonstrate the commitment of all parties involved, prioritizing local skilled labor, high-quality construction, and job creation within our community, according to Vince Saavedra. Several representatives for unions spoke in favor of a tax incentive proposal that would allocate $190 million annually. If the package is approved, Sony Pictures said it’s ready to commit $1 billion in spending over a decade. In the future home of its flagship, located in southwest Las Vegas Valley, Chips Shots held a groundbreaking. The two-story, 13,000-square-foot indoor golf club is set to open in late 2023 or early 2024. Initially expected to open spring 2023, but because of supply chain challenges, it was held off. Located at Grand Flamingo Center on West Flamingo Road and the 215 Beltway, Chip Shots “Swing Studio” is now available for booking. Founder, Keith Langlands, shares “This is a space where you can indulge in your passion for golf and the finer things in life.” The members-only club is expected to include dining, lounges, and outdoor entertainment spaces. Wahlberg Moves to Summerlin
Since moving to Sin City, Mark Wahlberg has not looked back. In October 2022, the actor and his family moved out of their $90 million California mansion for a “better life.” Six months into living in Las Vegas, Wahlberg revealed the move has positively changed his kids’ lives. “Everybody is thriving there. It’s been great,” he shared with pagesix.com. With all kinds of entertainment right around the corner, Wahlberg revealed he has seen Adele and Bruno Mars. He shares, “There’s so much to do in Vegas and it’s so exciting.” The actor listed his Beverly Hills home for $87.5 million in April 2022. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the Wahlberg family now lives in a home in Summerlin, located right outside of Las Vegas, for $15.6M. “We came here to just kind of give ourselves a new look, a fresh start for the kids, and there’s a lot of opportunity here. NBA Coming to LV?
A sports and entertainment developer has pitched a 66-acre, $10 billion sports campus in Las Vegas. The project vision of Oak View Group, with the aim of attracting an NBA franchise to the Vegas Valley. Oak View Group chairman and CEO Tim Leiweke made the pitch at the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance’s Las Vegas Perspective event on Thursday. The campus would include hotels, casinos, restaurants, and other facilities.
